PECO Model 14
XTREAMSORB® CARBON BLOCK FILTER-ADSORBER
GENERAL DATA
The Model 14 activated carbon block adsorber vessel is typically used for hydrocarbon removal from a liquid stream by use of activated carbon block cartridges. It is available in all major design codes and certifications from 8” through 84” diameter sizes. The initial cartridges will be shipped separately outside the vessel and will need to be installed prior to startup. The vessel is a single stage design with perforated riser posts welded into a cartridge support plate that the replaceable activated carbon block cartridges install on. A quick-opening closure is provided on the vessel in order to changeout cartridges. The cartridges in the vessel will become dirty or “spent” as they adsorb hydrocarbons and capture any particulates on the outer PEACH wrap. As this happens the differential pressure across the inlet and outlet flange connections of the vessel will begin to increase. The vessel should be serviced once the cartridges have reached the recommended change-out differential pressure.
